VEGAMOUR GRO Vegan Holistic Haircare Range | Review

Vegamour GRO Vegan HaircareThe moment you see VEGAMOUR and its fancy packaging, you know this brand puts a lot of thought into its products. Dusty pink is one of my favorite colors, and combined with gold letters, the effect is even more elegant and charming. However, despite all this beautiful packaging (which is a lovely bonus), the inside (meaning, ingredients) and the whole philosophy behind the brand are what means the most when choosing natural haircare. VEGAMOUR is all about a holistic approach with natural ingredients working together to fix the most common haircare problems: hair loss and breakage. After all, we want healthy, nurtured, and flourishing hair.

Vegamour Vegan HaircareI have a VEGAMOUR GRO range here that I’m super excited to share about. The GRO range focuses on promoting growth, thickness, and fullness to the hair. My thin, fine hair feels like a perfect candidate to test these products and see if they really make a difference, as they claim. Let’s start:

Vegamour GRO Biotin Hair Gummies

First things first, we all know that our beauty starts from within. This includes nutrition and general health habits. I’m not going to elaborate on this topic; we all know the should and shouldn’t-dos pretty well in that department. What I want to talk about today are supplements. I am not an avid supplement consumer, but I take omega-3 or vitamin D supplements from time to time. I also occasionally buy collagen or biotin. This mostly happens right at the beginning of spring because I feel like my skin, hair, and overall wellbeing need a bit of a pick-me-up after a long cold season that food can not provide. This time I took the GRO Biotin Gummies for Hair ($24). I’ve never taken gummies as a supplement, so, man, I was excited! They come in super cute heart shapes and taste delicious (natural strawberry flavor). There are 30 gummies in a jar, which covers a full month. However, if you’re trying to address an issue, like hair loss, or want to see any kind of obvious results, I think you might want to go for their subscription instead of just getting a single jar. The gummies contain biotin, folic acid, vitamins B5, B6, and B12, as well as other vitamins and minerals such as zinc to promote and maintain hair and scalp health.

Vegamour GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and ConditionerBut let’s get to the actual hair care products now. The GRO collection has one of each: GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and GRO Revitalizing Conditioner:

GRO Revitalizing Shampoo ($48) is not your ordinary everyday shampoo. Using microencapsulation technology, it was formulated to promote hair growth by delivering the fast-acting phyto-actives deep beneath the scalp’s surface. Besides this, the shampoo contains vegan silk keratin (Karmatin) and b-Silk protein to restore damaged hair follicles and hair strands by staying attached to them even after rinsing the hair. So as you can see, it’s not just cleanse and forget type of shampoo; it does some serious stuff. It provides great lather, divine scent, and my hair feels clean and nourished. I have already finished the whole bottle, and can promise that it does noticeably strengthens, smooths, and gives shine to the hair, especially when being used in tandem with the Revitalizing Conditioner.

GRO Revitalizing Conditioner ($48) is my favorite hair care product ever! I mean, not only it produces the rich texture, absolutely divine scent, and nourished hair ends, but it also gives form to my hair. I can comfortably let my hair airdry, skip any heat tools, and my hair looks lovely and, most importantly, frizz-free without almost no styling! You don’t need much of this stuff, so I still have almost half of a bottle left, although the shampoo is already gone.

Vegamour Detoxifying Vegan Hair Serum

GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum ($38) lives by the words “healthy hair begins from healthy scalp”. Which, if you really think about it, makes a lot of sense. You can use the best shampoos and conditioners, but if your scalp is clogged and unhealthy, then the hair will suffer inevitably. Vegan silk protein, zinc PCA, Willowherb extract, baobab, and marula oils are present in the serum to fix this problem for you.

I do find this product the fussiest because you have to put some effort into the application. And most importantly, do not forget it before washing your hair. The use is simple: apply a few drops on your scalp and massage it for a couple of minutes. You can do it with your fingers or with GRO Revitalizing Scalp Massager ($18) Then, leave for 5-10 minutes and wash the hair with your usual hair shampoo, conditioner or whatever routine you do. If you have visible dandruff, you should see it improving as soon as the third day (if used daily). I don’t have visible dandruff, but I was told by my hairdresser several times that my scalp is a bit flaky, so I am trying my best to use this every time I wash my hair. I’m meaning to ask my hairdresser for her opinion on IF my scalp improved to see if this serum is working!

Vegamour GRO Hair Serum

All these GRO haircare products are great go-to’s for fixing minor problems and adding some oomph to the hair, but if you want to achieve some serious hair fullness and thickness or combat some hair loss, it’s time for the big guns. The GRO Hair Serum ($52) is a volumizing, leave-in hair treatment that focuses on providing a balanced follicular system to achieve and maintain hair density and prevent hair loss. This is my other most favorite product from the GRO range. The Serum is pretty runny, so even though it comes with a dropper, you need to be careful when distributing it to the hair so you wouldn’t waste it. Disperse the serum, massage it with your fingers into the scalp, and then style your hair as usual. It provides some volume to the roots, which is a nice addition to all the hair growth stimulating properties. I am still testing this one out to see how much it actually contributes to the hair growth, so we’ll see.

I’d like to thank VEGAMOUR for sending their GRO range for this review. I was not compensated for my opinion, but I’m absolutely excited to share about it on the blog. If you want to try one thing from VEGAMOUR, I think the GRO Revitalizing Conditioner is the best pick. Just because it provides the fastest, most visible results. But if you’re patient, all products are an amazing try, especially the leave-in hair serum. Let me know if you ever lay your hands on any of them.

You can find the whole GRO range here. There are even more products than mentioned here. Also, I believe there’s a sale going on at the moment.

Until next time!
