Vana Body Nourishing Organic Skincare

In my experience, there are two ways how people approach face oils: either they love them and can’t get enough of them, or they don’t want them anywhere near their skincare routine. For a long time, I’ve been skeptical about face oils, I used to think the word “oil” equals greasy face and clogged pores. Now I know this is not the case at all; however, it’s important to choose the right oils for your skin. I’ve tried many face oils and oil blends, some of them were especially helpful during my bad skin periods when it seemed my skin gone crazy with no way back. This Vana Body Lavender + Cedar Hydrating Facial Oil was one of a few skincare heroes that helped my dry skin to get through this winter with minimal difficulty. Because the weather has recently become more mild and warm, I’m about to completely switch my skincare routine (I’ll share more about it soon), so I thought this is a good time to share about these two lovely products from Vana Body.

Speaking about the brand, Vana Body is a family-run US green skincare company that formulates its products with less than ten ingredients. All ingredients are high in quality and carefully selected. Vana Body has recently rebranded its packaging and reformulated the products, so that’s why you see old packaging in this review.

Lavender + Cedar Facial Oil* (now My Bare Skin Oil) ($27/£21)
Golden liquid oil made with wildcrafted lavender essential oil is formulated for dull, dry, and damaged skin in mind. This is probably one of the most nourishing face oils that I can remember ever using. It’s made with rich organic oils such as macadamia nut and tamanu so dry and mature skin will love this oil to bits for its highly moisturizing effect. The facial oil also has pleasant soft and woody cedar scent.

See the ingredients:

Organic Macadamia Nut Oil, Organic Tamanu Oil, Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Atlas Cedarwood Essential Oil, Organic Geranium Essential Oil, Wildcrafted Lavender Essential Oil.

Rose Clay Mask* (now Baby Doll Face Mask) ($22/£17)
I think many of you will agree with me that clay masks are the best! This Rose Clay powder mask created for all skin types, especially sensitive. I’m more into ready-to-use products, but at least with loose clay masks, you can choose the ingredients you mix them with: water, your favorite hydrosol or even cold herbal tea (like, chamomile tea). The mask cleanses, calms, and softens the skin, and overall is a great product to have in your skincare routine.

See the ingredients:

White Kaolin Clay, Pink Kaolin Clay, Organic Rosehip Powder, Organic Coconut Milk Powder, Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil, Organic Geranium Essential Oil.

Both of these (and many other) skincare products are available online at Vana Body with worldwide shipping.

I’ve never heard about this brand before – but I love the sound of their skincare products. That facial oil is packed full of great ingredients for the skin 🙂 I wonder why they’re re-branding. I love the branding on these packages!
