Vegan Cuts is a monthly subscription box that offers 4-7 natural / organic, cruelty-free or vegan beauty items (it’s actually going to be 7 items next month, see a sneak peek of the March 2016 Beauty Box). I have reviewed a few Vegan Cuts beauty boxes in the past (here and here) and I must say it gets better and better with every box. The reason why I love subscription boxes is not only because you get a few high quality beauty products for a reasonable price, but most importantly, you get to know products that maybe you wouldn’t discover on your own. This actually happened to me with my all time favorite Delizioso Blush, which I found in December 2014 Beauty Box.
Here’s what’s inside the February Box*:
Tara Smith Base Coat Hair Serum 25ml / $13
Comes in a colorful bottle with a beautiful bird on it! This Base Coat serum promises to smooth, increase shine and create an anti-frizz barrier, which will control frizz “in high humidity for 24 hours”. The serum isn’t natural and does contain silicons, so keep that in mind if you’re trying to avoid them.
Ingredients: Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Borago Officinalis (Borage) Seed Oil, Fragrance/Parfum, Linalool, Limonene.
The Wonder Seed English Daisy Facial Cream 71ml / $16.95
An all-natural face cream for all skin types. Made with virgin hemp seed oil, which is rich with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Hemp seed oil is well-known for its hydrating and soothing benefits, so it’s an amazing ingredient to look for in skincare products if you have sensitive and / or dehydrated skin. The Wonder Seed face cream has a calming herbal scent and a pleasant creamy consistency. It contains a lot of other beneficial ingredients like plant-based hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, organic green tea extract and more.
Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Virgin Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Organic Aloe Vera, English Daisy Essential Oil, Organic Green Tea Extract, Glycerin (Vegetable), Behenic Acid (Natural Plant Based), Ginseng Extract, Mandarin White Oil, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sorbitan Stearate (Natural Plant Based), Soybean Oil, Vegetable Glyceryl Stearate (Natural Plant Based), Chamomile Extract, Borage Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol (Coconut Oil Based), Retinyl Palmitate (Natural Plant Based), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Hyaluronic Acid (Natural Plant Based), Geranium Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Dextrin, Stearyl Alcohol (Natural Plant Based), Lauric Oil Extract, Wolf Berry Extract, Soluble Natural Plant Collagen, Potassium Sorbate (Natural Plant Based), Nutmeg Oil Extract, Sea Salt
Harvey Prince Organics Yogini Perfume 8.8ml / $23
You know how I always complain about the lack of natural perfumes in the market? Well, I’m not anymore. How could I when I’ve been discovering one awesome perfume after another? Harvey Prince Organics perfumes are crafted using only the highest quality natural essences and oils, however, what I find the most interesting is that they smell like real perfumes and not essential blends. What I mean is that I can’t tell each ingredient apart in this perfume, but instead I can enjoy a lovely scent they create together. Yogini mini roller has a very light, sweet scent with a tint of sour and citrusy. I’m definitely tempted to try their other products, so if you’re looking for high-quality perfumes, I very much recommend to check them out.
Notes: Sandalwood, golden amber, sensual incense, Egyptian myrrh, pink grapefruit, blackcurrant buds, lily of the valley, star jasmine, rose petals, ylang-ylang, cardamom, madagascar vanilla
Style: Elevating. Luxurious. Serene.
100% Pure Eye Creamstick Double-side Liner (in Chocolate and Champagne) $18
Last, but not least is an organic makeup item from 100% Pure. It’s a creamy double-sided eye liner pencil with color Chocolate on one end and color Champagne on the other. The liner is very pigmented and long-lasting. Both colors have a tint of metallic shine in them – Champagne more than Chocolate. See the swatch below:
Ingredients: Jojoba Oil, Silica, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Mango Seed Oil, Candelilla Wax, Shea Butter, Macadamia Seed Oil, Carnauba Wax, Kelp, Agar Agar, Spirulina, Vitamin E (a-tocopherol), Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate), Rice Starch, Black Tea Powder, Pigments of Acai Berry, Pomegranate, Cranberry, Goji Berry and Blackberry, Mica (natural shimmery mineral), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride * Certified Organic
Overall, I absolutely adore this month’s beauty box, especially the perfume and the eye-liner. You can read more about Vegan Cuts & order the Beauty Box here (as well as see what’s on their March box!)
