Ursa Major Natural Skincare Review

Ursa Major Super Natural SkincareHave you heard about Ursa Major? No, not the constellation – a natural skincare brand! I was introduced to this brand recently and, yes, ingredients are nice, the packaging is simple, but what I like the most about it that it’s a unisex brand with a wide range of natural multi-tasking products. Also, all the products are vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free.

Fantastic Face Wash* (travel size)
A clear gel cleanser packed with plenty of plant extracts and natural essential oils such as white and green tea, apple and citrus (orange, lemon), cedar wood, vetiver root, spearmint, and many other great ingredients. It has a pretty powerful scent, which feels like a mix of cedar and spearmint oils. The cleanser is good for cleansing skin impurities without drying skin too much. The skin felt fresh and revitalized after. The only downside I could notice is that if the cleanser gets into my eyes, it stings really bad so I try to avoid this as much as I can.

See the ingredients:

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice (Aloe Barbadensis)*, Lauryl Glucoside, Coco-glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Inulin, Glyceryl Laurate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxlitol, Xylitol, Rice Seed Extract (Oryza Sativa)*, Sugar Cane Extract (Saccharum Officinarum), White Tea Leaf Extract (Camellia Sinensis)*, Lemon Extract (Citrus Medica Limonum), Orange Fruit Extract (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis), Apple Fruit Extract (Pyrus Malus), Green Tea Leaf Extract (Camellia Sinensis), Black Spruce Needle Oil (Picea Mariana), Fir Needle Oil (Pseudotsuga Menziesii), Rosemary Leaf/Flower Water (Rosmarinus Officinalis), Lavender Flower Water (Lavandula Angustifolia), Pink Grapefruit Peel Oil (Citrus Paradisi), Lime Peel Oil (Citrus Aurantifolia), Owyhee Leaf Oil (Artemisia Ludoviciana), Cedar Wood Oil (Juniperus Virginiana), Tanacetum Anuum Flower Oil (Tanacetum Anuum)*, Spikenard Root (Nardostachys Chinensis), Vetivert Root Oil (Vetiveria Zizanioiedes), Spearmint Leaf Oil (Mentha Spicata), Sodium Phytate, PCA Glyceryl Oleate, Citric Acid, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate. *organic. 99.5% natural, 51% organic. Vegan.

Essential Face Wipes * (20 pack)
Natural face wipes made from bamboo fiber and infused with witch hazel leaf water, willow bark extract, rosemary water, hyaluronic acid, citrus extracts, and other numerous skin benefiting ingredients. These wet wipes were created to be used instead of a regular facial toner, and I I find this very interesting. It’s an excellent solution for traveling, hiking, or to have in your handbag for emergencies.

See the ingredients:

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice (Aloe Barbadensis)*, Water/Aqua/Eau, Witch Hazel Leaf Water (Hamamelis Virginia), Willow Bark Extract (Salix Nigra), Rosemary Leaf/Flower Water (Rosmarinus Officinalis), Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin*, Sugar Cane Extract (Saccharum Officinarum), Lemon Extract (Citrus Medica Limonum), Orange Fruit Extract (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis), Apple Fruit Extract (Pyrus Malus), Green Tea Leaf Extract (Camellia Sinensis), Rice Seed Extract (Oryza Sativa)*, Birch Sap (Betula Alba), Lactobacillus, Bamboo Ferment Filtrate (Arundinaria Gigantea), Caprylyl/Capryl Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides, Fusel Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides, Polyglyceryl-5 Oleate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Olive Leaf Extract (Olea Europaea), Fir Needle Oil (Pseudotsuga Menziesii), Lavender Flower Oil (Lavandula Angustifolia)*, Rosemary Leaf Oil (Rosmarinus Officinalis), Geranium Leaf/Flower Oil (Pelargonium Graveolens)*, Frankincense Resin Extract (Boswellia Carterii), Alcohol Denatured*. * organic. Wipe Substrate: 100% bamboo fiber. 99.9% natural, 53% organic. Vegan.

Ursa Major Natural Fortifying Face BalmFortifying Face Balm* (travel size)
A super lightweight face balm, which comes out of the bottle as a runny (almost watery) gel. The balm has a much softer herbal scent with some minty notes. Because it contains witch hazel extract, lavender extract, and carrot seed oil, it is soothing, hydrating, and highly refreshing. It sinks into the skin within seconds leaving skin completely matte. It might not give you enough moisture if your skin is dry, but I think it’s a perfect choice for normal, combination, and oily skin types.

See the ingredients:

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice (Aloe Barbadensis)* Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Myrtus Communis Leaf Extract*, Sunflower Seed Oil (Helianthus Annuus)*, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Witch Hazel Leaf Water (Hamamelis Virginiana), Willow Bark Extract (Salix Nigra), Kendi Seed Oil (Aleurites Moluccana), Opuntia Fuscus-Indica Stem Extract, Carrot Seed Oil (Daucus Carota), Hydrogenated Lecithin, Birch Sap (Betula Alba), Olive Leaf Extract (Olea Europaea), Sclerotium Gum, Lavender Flower Oil (Lavandula Angustifolia)*, Lime Peel Oil (Citrus Aurantifolia), Niaouli Leaf Oil (Melaleuca Quinquenervia)*, Frankincense Resin Extract (Boswellia Carterii), Bisabolol Wood Oil (Vanillosmopsis Erythropappa), Spearmint Leaf Oil (Mentha Spicata), Carrageenan (Chondrus Crispus), Rosemary Leaf Extract (Rosmarinus Officinalis)*, Maltodextrin, Spearmint Leaf Extract (Mentha Spicata), Xantham Gum, P-anisic Acid. *organic. 100% natural, 82% organic. Vegan.

I have seen this brand several times and considered it (for myself and/or my husband) at my favourite local eco-beauty store “The Truth Beauty Company” (in Kitchener, ON). Haven’t bit the bullet yet though! I would love to try out the Fortifying Face Balm for the summer months to keep my skin matte.
