Happy spring, beauties! Just look at these beautiful tulips! For me, it is always a joy to include flowers when I’m taking photos for the blog, but I was completely in love with this bunch. And it was a perfect match for avril beauty products, too!
I already reviewed a few of avril products on the blog a while ago, and these goodies are the latest additions to my beauty stash. Avril beaute is a French certified organic beauty brand, which aims to create not only natural, cruelty-free, but also affordable beauty products for women. There are many products from its range that have achieved a lot of love and recognition from beauty bloggers, one of the products being Extreme Length mascara (review). My experience with avril has been good so far, and these new products didn’t disappoint me either.
avril Cleansing Milk 250ml / €7 (approx $8 – £6)
A gentle and effective cleansing milk that removes makeup and cleanses impurities. Because of its mild, creamy consistency, this cleansing milk does not dry out the skin and is gentle enough even for sensitive skin types. It’s best to be applied using a cotton pad, but it also can be used as a face wash. Overall, it’s just a lovely product to use.

avril Compact Powder in Claire* 7g / €8 (approx $9 – £7)
If you’re looking for a good mattifying and oil-absorbent pressed powder – something not too expensive – to help you prevent your skin from getting oily too soon, this compact powder will help you achieve that. What I really like about it is that it has silky consistency and gives a very pleasant application without drying out the skin.
I know there are people who are trying to avoid products containing talk because of its pore-clogging or other concerns, so I want to mention that this compact powder does contain this ingredient. I, personally, do not have this issue since most sources claim that the danger of talk is when breathing it in high quantities. But if you’re concerned and tend to avoid it, I just wanted to highlight this for you.
The compact powder comes in 6 shades, the one I’ve received is called Claire, which is the second lightest shade in the range and matches my skin perfectly. The reason why I chose Claire is because I’ve tried avril Liquid Foundation in the past (review), and the color suited my skin color/tone. This compact powder gives a light, almost translucent coverage, which is not enough for covering any redness or spots, but is great for evening out the skin tone, settling and keeping makeup in place a little bit longer.

avril BB Cream* 30ml / €8 (approx $9 – £7)
Yay for the warm weather! I’m ready for spring, which means I’m about to make some changes in my makeup routine by choosing BB creams over liquid foundation. To be honest, I’m so grateful to someone who has invented BB creams, most of them are more suitable for dry skin than regular foundations.
avril BB cream is a great product, which I like a lot for a few reasons: first of all, it has light and non-greasy consistency, which also doesn’t feel cakey or drying. I would say it’s suitable for all skin types, except, of course, the extreme ones (extra dry or extra oily). The second reason why I like this BB cream so much is its easy application. I apply all my liquid face makeup with a stipple brush, but it doesn’t work with creamy products (most of BB creams I’ve tried are creamy). However, this BB cream has a perfect – not too thick, not too runny – consistency and goes on without streaks or blotches. Lastly, it gives the skin that natural, no-makeup look. However, I wish it would be lighter in color, since it’s a little too dark for my light complexion at the moment, and I tend to avoid being in the sun at all costs.
