After my disappointment with Alterra Extreme Volume Mascara, I still had high hopes for this Alterra Max Lash Booster Mascara. Its packaging looks similar to the Extreme Volume, except this one is black with silver font. It also has the same price as Extreme Volume (approx 4 EUR for 9 ml), what a bargain. I’ve translated the description from German language and found out that the mascara promises maximum length and volume.
Like I mentioned before, I’m all about long and dense lashes. A little bit of curl is more than welcome, too. The brush of Max Lash Booster is quite large, round, and extremely dense – the type of brush that screams “big lashes”. However, I get an even more natural look with this mascara than I succeeded to get with Extreme Volume. I’ve tried applying more layers, but then it starts clumping so I wouldn’t recommend that.
Here’s how my lashes look after 2-3 coats of Max Lash Booster. The longevity is better than the Extreme Volume Mascara (6 hours or so), but still, I would like to last it longer. Overall, I recommend it to anyone who wants a very affordable organic beauty product and doesn’t mind a natural look. Nevertheless, I still think there are better natural mascaras out there that won’t cost you a fortune. I was unable to find a full ingredient list, but the mascara is vegan and certified by Natrue (one of the strongest certification), so I’m pretty confident it contains nothing but all natural ingredients.
Have you tried Alterra mascaras or other makeup items?
