Routine Natural Deodorants | Greatest Hits

Routine Natural Deodorant Mini SetCall me weird, but my next favorite thing to talk about after organic skincare is natural deodorants. I feel like it’s just not mentioned enough. Want it or not, armpit care is an important part of our lives. The research shows that about 90% of 18 to 29-year-olds use deodorant every day, with other age groups falling not far behind. Some people go as far as taking a deodorant pill (I know, what a time to be alive!).

I’ve tried a bunch of deodorants throughout the years. And you know what? Long gone are the days when natural deodorant did not work. Now there’s an abundance of natural choices that are not even safer for your body and health but even smell better and work excellent. It still takes some trial and error to find your favorites, but at the end of the day, you inevitably will. That was a rather long intro, so let’s get to the products that I’d like to share about Routine natural deodorants.

Routine Natural Deodorant Greatest Hits SetI first heard about Routine Natural Deodorant on Instagram, which nowadays is my source for like 90% of the stuff that I become interested in! I’m probably late to the party a couple of years, but oh well. So, Routine is a natural beauty brand that carries natural skincare and home products, such as candles. However, based on what other people share about the brand, I’d dare to say their main focus is their deodorants. The ingredient lists of their deodorants are short and simple and contain only beneficial natural ingredients for your armpits.

Routine Natural Deodorant MinisWhat I sometimes do with new brands, I go for a few different products (trial-size or not). To just dip my toes in the water first, so to speak. I do this because it allows me to experience the brand more. The product I was interested in trying from Routine was their Greatest Hits (20g in total for $18) mini deodorant pack. Despite the name sounding like an 80s music compilation CD, the pack offers 4 mini sample products, each 5g. I’m not too excited about the size of the minis since one pot lasted a maximum of 2-3 uses for me. I’m not sure if I’ve applied too much or if it was supposed to be like that.

However, thumbs up for the cute packaging and product names. You really can tell they give a lot of thought to their products and how they are presented to the buyers.

Routine Sexy Saddie Natural Deodorant MiniThe Greatest Hits includes 4 apparently most popular Routine deodorants:
Sexy Sadie: a sensitive, baking soda-free formula with a spicy yet sweet long-lasting scent (top notes: ylang-ylang, sweet orange & vanilla). I started with this deodorant in no particular order, but actually, it was my least favorite out of the bunch. The scent was way too sweet and perfumy for my taste. Also, I felt that it did not work as well as the other ones.

Like A Boss: a strong deodorant cream with baking soda that works absolutely wonderfully! The scent is pretty neutral and reminds me somehow of whipped shea butter mixed with a drop of bergamot. Loved it.

Superstar: the powerhouse deodorant with activated charcoal, magnesium, baking soda, and prebiotics. I don’t think you can expect anything less than a bulletproof performance from an ingredient list like this. It worked well, and did not irritate my pits nor my nose with its spicy but gentle scent. A solid favorite.

The Curator: another gentle, baking soda-free formula for sensitive skin. This time with a much gentler scent, which I really enjoyed.

Overall, it’s a great mix and selection of deodorants for anyone wanting to test if and which Routine deodorant is best for you. I’m still intrigued to try more from this brand. But next time, I’m going to pick a full-size jar. The small sizes are great for testing texture and scent, but they’re too small to actually test effectiveness.

Have you tried Routine? What’s your favorite natural deodorant?
