I talk about skincare routine quite a lot on the blog, but it’s because I noticed huge improvements in my skin condition after I started using products more consistently. Of course, being a beauty blogger means that temptation to try new products is always there, so it takes time to learn how to switch things up or to incorporate one or two new products gradually instead of using a bunch of products one day and the whole different bunch the other.
For most of us, summer skincare routine is a lot different than during other, especially colder, seasons. Due to summer weather, heat, the sun, and other factors, our skin requires lighter, yet hydrating, skincare products.
Lavera Basis Sensitive Cleansing Gel – this tube is almost finished, so I’m planning to get a replacement. The first three words that come to my mind are clean, clarifying, and refreshing. This cleanser makes my skin feel good and doesn’t break the bank. You can read a more detailed review here.
Dr. Hauschka Revitalizing Day Cream (review) – like I mentioned many times before, this is my all-time favorite day cream for warmer seasons. I have used up an uncountable number of bottles of this day cream and have no plans to stop. I wish I could use it all year round, but, unfortunately, my skin gets too dry to use it in the colder season. I can’t think of any downsides of this, but seriously, I need to stop praising this product, like, right now (it’s really good, though…)!
Green People Brightening Day Cream (sample size) – I have just added this brightening cream to my skincare routine, but I like it a lot. It’s great for days when your skin for whatever reason requires more hydration or looks dull. The cream instantly freshens it up and makes it feel soft and lovely.
True Nature Botanicals Pacific Night Serum With Retinol* (sample size) – I’ve been using this serum instead of cream before bedtime, and it does wonders to my skin. It’s thick, yet feels very light and leaves my skin soft.
Dr. Hauschka Night Serum (sample size) – I’m all about Dr. Hauschka’s holistic skincare approach, except one thing – saying no to night creams. I’ve tried skipping this step, but it was torture for my skin and seemed to dehydrate it even more. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one having these feelings, because Dr. Hauschka has recently introduced its new product – the Night Serum. It’s a light, oil-free, and nicely scented gel serum, which allows the skin to breathe at night and, at the same time, doesn’t block its rejuvenation process. I bought this sample out of curiosity because there are many good reviews about it. However, this is not a product for me. I feel it on my face even after a while, and it makes my skin feel tight and uncomfortable. However, it would benefit those with oily skin types who look for a balancing serum.
Dr. Hauschka Soothing Mask (sample size) – I am trying to choose facial masks in smaller packagings rather than big packagings because I tend to forget to use them regularly and they go bad, which is a total waste of a product. That’s why I like Dr. Hauschka sample-size masks – one tiny tube lasts up to 3 uses. This soothing mask calms, moistures and evens out skin tone, I can’t recommend it enough for sensitive skins.
Pure Daily Essentials Ageless Eyes Eye Cream* – rich and creamy with a herbal scent. It’s a gentle, simple eye cream, but unless you have plenty of time in the morning to allow it to sink in properly, I would only recommend it using before bedtime. I usually don’t have problems with puffy eyes or dark circles so I can not comment on that, but if you’re looking for a pure 100% natural eye cream, it’s a fine product to give a try.
Tata Harper Be True Lip Treatment* – this is a real treat for dry lips, so this baby goes everywhere with me these days. As I mentioned before in this review, I don’t notice any plumping, but it’s one of the most hydrating lip products I’ve ever tried.
So that’s what I’ve been using lately. If you have recently shared your summer skincare routine, let me know in the comments, I’d love to see!
Nice routine miss! The serum from True Nature botanicals sounds nice! x
Hello!

Thanks,

Thank you! I’m very happy to see you here!
I’ve seen a lot about True Nature Botanicals recently! The serum sounds great, will definitely be having a look at a few of their other products 🙂
I’ve only ever tried Lavera foundation, which I didn’t think was amazing. I didn’t know they did skin care products too though!
Hey Natalie, thanks for stopping by. I’ve only tried Lavera Trend Sensitiv liquid foundation and, although, it had some pros as well as cons, I didn’t buy the full-size bottle of it. On the other hand, I find many of Lavera skin care and hair care products pretty good and I’ve been repurchasing some of them.
What have you tried from Lavera? The cleanser is nothing too fancy, but it does its job really good and for a fair price.
I think just makeup. I’m using the eye shadow primer currently, and I’ve tried a couple of the different foundations over the years too. There’s usually a considerable markup on their products by the time they make it to Canada, so it doesn’t end up quite as affordable as in Europe unfortunately!
Oh, that’s a shame Lavera is not very affordable in Canada. I’m eyeing that eyeshadow primer, maybe I’ll give it a go someday.
Great lineup! I always look at Lavera products, but I haven’t actually tried much from them. The cleanser sounds lovely though 🙂
Thank you! The serum was a surprise, I have never imagined using a serum instead of a face cream would be enough for my skin.
I really must try True Nature Botanicals and Green People soon. Lovely picks!
Thank you! I’m so happy with this summer routine right now that I don’t want summer to end because of it (and for other reasons, of course!) 🙂
