I rarely wear waterproof mascaras, but in summer, they have a special place in my makeup bag. With hot weather just around the corner, who fancies panda eyes? Definitely not me, and I doubt that you do too. I’ve been eyeing the Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Long Lash Mineral Mascara* by Pacifica Beauty for a long time. Probably because I had such a positive encounter with other mascaras from this brand. Also, there aren’t that many vegan waterproof mascaras on the market, so I had to try this one.
Like all Pacifica beauty products, this mascara wins hearts with its charming packaging. By the way, have you seen Pacifica’s newest, gorgeous crystal range? It’s simply breathtaking! I’ve already tried a couple of products and been enjoying them.
The Aquarian Gaze mascara has a unique silicone wand with short, densely packed bristles. It’s always a lottery with this kind of brush because either it would separate lashes well or it would turn them into one big clump. I’m happy to report that with this mascara separated lashes it is. The wand also helps to lift lashes from roots and curls them. Though the curl doesn’t stay for long, and it kind of seems like the mascara itself weighs the lashes down a little.
The mascara, I believe, only comes in two colors, which is black and blue. The color I have is a deep black, which is intense and pretty. Speaking about the performance, it provides a decent amount of length. Not too over the top, but enough for my short lashes to pop. Another thing that I like is that it’s quite easy to remove with micellar water or cleanser and no excessive rubbing is required. As you can expect from a waterproof mascara, the longevity is terrific! I haven’t tried it in heat or anything, but it does stay in place all day.
Pacifica Beauty Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Long Lash Mineral Mascara is available online at Love Lula for approx $21 /£15.49 for 7.1g.
