This post was supposed to come out ages ago. But then these horrendous events in Ukraine happened, and I just couldn’t bring myself to write anything for the blog. It is still hard, but I have to somehow move forward with my daily activities and passions. So I couldn’t think of a better fit to break this silence on the blog with a lovely brand, NATURIGIN. It’s not the first time I’m using clean haircare products from NATURIGIN. Even since I’ve heard of them (many years ago), they have been one of the most committed vegan and certified organic brands, eager to offer the safest possible hair dye on the market and the cleanest haircare products. Their packaging has changed throughout the years, but the main philosophy and love for their customers never wavered – and this is what I admire the most about the brand. NATURIGIN products are made mostly with Nordic plants to make them close to home. This not only serves you (meaning you get the freshest and most potent ingredients) but also the environment.
There are three lines in the NATURIGIN haircare range. One of them is Thickness Booster, created for girls who enjoy voluminous but hydrated hair. The Thickness Booster line has a shampoo, a conditioner, and a hair thickening spray. Of course, you can mix and match products from different lines, depending on your hair needs. However, if you’re after some particular effect (e.g., volume), I find that using products from the same line will give you more intense results because these products were specifically designed to work together. The Thickness Booster focuses on a few main ingredients:
– Nordic cotton grass: great for soothing sensitive scalp
– Bilberry extract: for preventing and reversing hair damage
– Avocado: for nourishing hair
– other native Nordic ingredients.
THICKNESS BOOSTER HAIR THICKENING SPRAY | If you like using hair texturizers, you’ll be pleased to hear about this one! The main benefits of this spray include:
– holds the hairstyle without stiffness
– gives volume and body to the hair
– incredible texture all day.
So, this is a texturizer and a volumizer in one product, which is excellent considering it also works well. I’ve been using it for the past few months most times after washing my hair, and the difference is evident when I use the spray and when I don’t. I also enjoy its non-irritating scent. The main difference for me is the definition, especially when I choose not to straighten my hair. The hair does not look like a messy blob but rather like separate sort of soft waves. Absolutely love it.
THICKNESS BOOSTER SHAMPOO | The shampoo promises to provide body and extra strength to the hair. Its consistency isn’t too thick, so it foams nicely and gives the hair a pleasant scent and cleanness. I find that washing my hair once is enough for the squeaky clean feeling. I enjoy the sweet herbal scent, which does not overpower my senses. The shampoo does give noticeable volume to the roots and overall hair. I always let my hair airdry, and even without any blowdrying, I still see the difference between this volumizing shampoo and any other, not volumizing shampoo. Also, it did not dry out my scalp or hair ends, so this is also great.
THICKNESS BOOSTER CONDITIONER | It has the same gentle sweet scent as the shampoo has. The conditioner comes out of the bottle as extremely thick cream, but it feels really light when applied to the hair, to my surprise. I always need any additional leave-in conditioner after my hair is washed, so this wasn’t a different story after using this conditioner. I believe this baby would be most suitable for thinner hair, especially if it is prone to becoming flat quickly, or for those who want their voluminous hair to stay hydrated but not weighed down.
