Live Botanical Skincare | The Clean Beauty Box Shutting Down

Clean Beauty Box March April 2021A few months ago, I’ve shared about a green beauty subscription service called The Clean Beauty Box. I’ve only had a chance to try two of their bi-monthly boxes: the February Rejuvenate box and this Immerse one, being the second. Unfortunately, the Clean Beauty Box announced their service cancellation and closed down for good. I guess the past year has taken a toll on smaller companies, which is the saddest thing to witness.

Clean Beauty Box Immerse 2021
Live Botanical Moisture Liquid and Mask Organic SkincareThe Immerse Box contains two full-size skincare products. Both are from the same brand, which I’ve never heard before, but I’m so grateful to get to know: Live Botanical. I’m totally mesmerized by the brand’s ethos, packaging, and how well the products work! Live Botanical is a holistic skincare and bodycare brand with their ingredients sustainably harvested and sourced close to their region. Their skincare range has a variety of products that I now want to try. Badly. And sooner rather than later!

The duo included in the Immerse Box were: Ambient Moisture Liquid and Tidal Moon Moisture Mask. My skin always craves moisture, so I was very excited to start using both of them.

Live Botanical Tidal Moon Moisture Mask

Live Botanical Tidal Moon Organic Moisture MaskTidal Moon Moisture Mask (50ml for $60) was released as limited-edition item, but gained so much love that Live Botanical apparently did not have a choice, but to add it to the permanent range. The Tidal Moon has an absolutely divine scent with its deep relaxing woody notes.

This beautiful blue-green balm is a savior for thirsty skin. Its thick balmy texture becomes a paste when mixed with water, easy to apply to the skin. I leave it for 10 minutes or more, then wipe it off with a damp cloth and enjoy the softness and hydration it leaves behind. It is an absolutely fascinating face mask that all skin types will love when their skin requires deep and intense hydration.

See the ingredients:

corylus avellana (hazelnut) seed oil*^, silybum marianum (milk thistle) seed oil*, raw honey*^, raw beeswax*^, persea gratissima (avocado) butter*^, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil & saccharomyces/podophyllum peltatum (mayapple) ferment filtrate, chlamydomonas reinhardtii extract, schisandra chinensis fruit co2 extract*, spirulina platensis & arthrospira platensis *, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil*, lecithin (sunflower derived)*^, chamaecyparis lawsoniana (port orford) wood extract^+, pseudotsuga menziesii (douglas fir) oil^, cedrus deodora (himalayan) wood oil, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract*. *organic   |   ^regionally sourced   |   #fair trade/co-op

Live Botanical Ambient Moisture LiquidLive Botanical Ambient Moisture Liquid (50ml for $48) is called a multidimensional moisturizer because of its hydrating, soothing, firming and strengthening properties. I love it when I have no cons to list when sharing about a product! And this moisturizer, in my eyes, has no cons whatsoever. The packaging is very neat and easy to use, with the pump working perfectly. I enjoy the light yet highly hydrating consistency of the moisturizer a lot. It glides on the skin perfectly after my serums, leaving it moisturized, soft, but not overloaded with thickness or greasiness. It’s extremely rare when a moisturizer actually suits all skin types. But I can certainly say – this one does.

See the ingredients:

aqueous infusion of [aloe barbadensis (aloe vera)*^, camellia sinensis (green tea)*^, althaea officinalis (marshmallow) root)*^, centella asiatica (gotu kola)*^, plantago major leaf *^, prunella vulgaris (self-heal) leaf extract*^, tilia cordata (linden) flower extract*^, trifolium pratense (red clover) flower*^, & palm-free vegetable glycerin*], vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) seed oil^, fragaria ananassa (strawberry) seed oil^, mangifera indica (mango) seed butter#, oryza sativa (rice) bran oil*^, rubus idaeus (raspberry) seed oil^, polyglyceryl-4 oleate (palm-free, plant derived ecocert emulsifier), aesculus hippocastanum (horse chestnut) seed extract*, lactobacillus ferment, glycine soja (soybean) seed extract & ceramide np, phospholipids (sunflower lecithin)*, sodium pca, sodium hyaluronate, [gluconolactone, sodium benzoate, calcium gluconate (ecocert preservative)] and rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract*. *organic   |   ^regionally sourced   |   #fair trade/co-op

Honestly, Live Botanical has become one of my favorite organic skincare brands. Also, I’m super sad about Clean Beauty Box since it was one of the highest quality beauty subscription services out there.

Until next time!
