Cattier Yellow Clay Mask For Dry Skin | Review

Cattier Yellow Clay MaskI already reviewed the Cattier Pink Clay Mask for sensitive skin in my previous posts. You can read about it here to find out why I love it and what impact it has on my dry/sensitive skin. I was about to repurchase it, but after reading a few positive reviews about this Cattier Yellow Clay Mask for dry skin, I decided to try this one instead. I bought it during my trip to Germany (along with other goodies), and because I had finished the Pink Clay Mask, I started using this one right away. Cattier has recently changed its packaging, and now it looks more modern; however, the mask with the old packaging was on sale, and because the ingredient list stayed the same, of course, I got the old version.

See the ingredients:

Aqua, Kaolin, Illite, Mentha Piperita Extract*, Hamamelis Virginiana Distillate*, Buxus  Chinensis Oil*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Benzyl Alcohol, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil*,  Mentha Piperita Oil*, Lactic Acid, Citronellol.

Cattier Yellow Clay Mask for Dry SkinI thought it might be difficult to compare these two products because the ingredient lists of both of the masks are quite similar. But even after the first use, it was evident – the Yellow Clay Mask was much more moisturizing and made my skin feel not only clean and restored but also smooth as a peach. Another difference was that the Yellow Clay Mask made my skin tingle, which wasn’t the case with the Pink one. I guess the peppermint extract and witch hazel water might have played the role. Though it didn’t irritate my skin much, and it was still happy after washing the mask away, if you have very sensitive skin, this is something to take into consideration.

Overall, the Pink Clay Mask is something I really enjoyed using a lot. However, I think I’ll stick with the Yellow Clay Mask just because I feel that it’s more intense and provides more visible results.

Have you tried Cattier Clay Masks? Which one is your favorite?
