Argandia Body Scrub With Sugar Cane – Rose | Review

Argandia Argan Sugar Body ScrubI love a good body scrub, I do. Not only it removes dead skin cells and activates blood flow, but you get smooth skin after using one. My skin is dry, so I tend to use scrubs quite regularly, but not too often – like, once in two weeks. I’ve heard about Argandia before but didn’t get around to actually try something from their range.

I absolutely love Argandia’s packaging. I have to be honest here and say that this is probably the main reason why I’ve been tempted to try its products. The body scrub, like most body scrubs I know, comes in a jar (150 ml) with a lid. To get the scrub out of the jar, you can use a spatula (preferably) or your fingers.

See the ingredients:

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Chloride, Argandia Spinosa Kernel Oil, Sesamum Indicum Oil, Silica, Sucrose, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Parfum, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil, Tocopherol, Geraniol, Citronellol, Linalool. *100% organic. Ecocert Certified.

There’s a tagline on the jar that the scrub is made with sugar cane. Now, sugar is one of the best natural exfoliators I know. Sugar is soft but still exfoliating when it’s wet, so it’s suitable for sensitive, reactive skin. Additionally, sugar scrubs tend to less dry out the skin, comparing to other non-sugar based natural scrubs. Another important ingredient in this body scrub is argan oil. This oil is admired globally for its moisturizing and nourishing benefits. It’s good for your skin, for your hair, for your health. Argandia ensures that it uses organic fair-trade argan oil from Morocco, controlled by ECOCERT. Besides argan oil, there also are moisturizing oils like macadamia nut oil and almond oil.

Few things that came to my attention while looking at the ingredient list: first, the second ingredient in this scrub is not sugar, but sodium chloride (commonly known as salt), so technically this is a scrub made with salt and sugar. Which is not bad because salt is also a well-known skin exfoliator. Second, I really wanted to see rose extracts or oils listed in the ingredient list, but all I see is the word parfum, so that gentle, light rose scent is coming from this component.

Overall, it’s a lovely product. It exfoliates the skin nicely by leaving it smooth and healthy.

Argandia Sugar Scrub is available on Amazon for $26.95.

this sounds lovely! I’m a big fan of making my own sugar scrubs, but this sounds promising to try!
