4 Simple Steps Of My Daily Skin Care Routine + Current Products

I bet every single one of us dreams about having dewy, smooth skin. Maybe some of you are lucky to have skin without any special demands, but for girls like myself, skincare requires some effort. After a long time, though, I feel like I am finally getting my skin under control. I rarely get dry patches and inflammation (my skin still has bad days, but not so severe), and I believe this routine has a lot to do with it. That to be said, here’s my morning and evening (they are the same, except STEP 4 is for evenings only) routine at the moment:

STEP 1: CLEANSING

Organic Skincare Routine CleansingI use Clarisonic Mia 2 after I remove makeup my makeup. This cleansing gadget effectively reduces dry patches and blemishes and has a huge impact on my skin, BUT I have to actually commit to using it on a daily basis. Otherwise, it’s going to be a waste of money. Also, if you’re thinking of getting one, be prepared to spend some extra cash regularly, because the head of the brush needs to be changed every 3-4 months.

Dr. Hauschka Sponge takes a rather equal place next to Mia. Its actual purpose is to remove clay masks, but I like using it once or twice a week with my cleanser to remove makeup.

Sante Cleansing Mousse Bio Schisandra for all skin types – I bought this before my trip to Italy because 70ml bottle with a pump seemed perfect for traveling. It really is a nice product for daily use.

One Love Organics Easy Does It Cleanser – I was intrigued to try One Love Organics after reading many good comments, and it hasn’t disappointed me one bit. It leaves my skin smooth and refreshed.

Organic Everyday Skincare RoutineSTEP 2: TONING
For step two, I use cold water (not ice cold). I sometimes use cold chamomile or thyme tea. Thyme tea is actually fantastic for making the skin tone even and pores minimized.

STEP 3: MOISTURIZING – obviously!
Pangea Organics Italian Red Mandarin With Rose Day Cream for normal to dry skin – an award-winning product, formulated specifically for dry skin. It has been (and still is) my hero during all these cold winter months. It’s one of the thickest creams I’ve ever tried and sinks into the skin very slowly, so you need to be patient. But the results are great because it gives skin softness and protection from the harsh weather. Although unless your skin is truly dry and thirsty, this cream might be too heavy for most skin types.

Dr. Hauschka Quince Cream for normal/dry skin – a lovely simple day cream that protects and nourishes the skin. It’s a lot lighter than Pangea Organics day cream but still, gives enough moisture and softness. Along with apricot kernel and sweet almond oils, there’s carrot root extract, which also does wonders for sensitive skin with redness.

STEP 4: EVENING TREATMENTS
Dr. Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask  – teeny tiny rejuvenating mask is one of Dr. Hauschka’s favorite products for dry skin. I am not sure if it’s suitable for oily skin types, but if your skin is dehydrated, this is a perfect choice.

What’s your morning/evening skincare routine?
