Pai Skincare Trial Kit For Sensitive Skin

Here are some cute, tiny Pai Skincare samples that I want to show you today. Pai is a handmade organic beauty brand from the UK, which focuses on those with sensitive and allergy-prone skin. I had these samples for a while but didn’t find the right time to try them until last week. The sample set I have included:

Camellia and Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser (5ml sample)
I have never been a fan of rose-scented beauty products, but this cleanser was a delight to use exactly because of its pleasant scent – it smells like fresh, young rose blossoms. The consistency of the cleanser is thick and creamy, so it feels much more like a cream than a cleanser. First, I used it as a cleansing milk to remove my mascara (did a good job there), then as a cleanser for my whole face. My skin felt soft and moist, and, surprise surprise, I didn’t really need to use any cream after. However, even though my skin is dry, I much more prefer gel or foam cleansers instead of a cream cleanser, because they usually lack that refreshing feeling you get after cleansing the skin with something of lighter consistency. But for those who like heavier and moisturizing cleansers, this cleanser will be amazing.

See the ingredients:

Purified Water, Camellia Oil*, Castor Oil*, Sweet Almond Oil*, Coconut and Corn-Derived Emulsifier, Vegetable Glycerine*, Shea Butter*, Basil Extract, Natural Vitamin E, Rose Oil*, Geranium Oil*, Corn Extract, Lavender Oil*, Natural Lactic Acid (derived from sugar beet), May Chang Oil*, Coconut Oil Extract *Certified organic ingredient. Certified by Soil Association. Vegan.

Pai Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator (4ml sample)
Like I have mentioned before, I am not a big fan of any kind of skin exfoliators, mostly because my skin is sensitive and gets irritated easily. I’ve tried a few exfoliators for sensitive skin in the past (including Logona Aloe Exfoliating Cream; John Masters Organics Exfoliator; Hauschka Cleansing Cream (my 7-day experiment here)), but I’m still in search for something absolutely perfect (a girl can dream, right?). Talking about Pai’s Brightening Exfoliator, I like the fact that its pellets are smaller and, most importantly, softer than in many other exfoliators. Not so tiny like the grains in Dr. Hauschka’s Cleansing Cream, but tiny enough not to feel like you’re scouring your skin too harshly. Also, the exfoliator washes away effortlessly and doesn’t leave the skin dried out. After using it, I kept looking in the mirror waiting for some redness or irritation to occur, but nothing happened. The Exfoliator also smells good, as a refreshing citrus.

See the ingredients:

Pai Chamomile & Rosehip Sensitive Skin Cream (5ml sample)
Chamomile & Rosehip Day Cream formulated for hypersensitive, reactive skin, prone to redness and rosacea. Which sounds exactly like my skin during bad skin days, so I was excited to try this one out. The cream is thick, but sinks into the skin quickly, leaving it soft with no sign of greasiness. It has a light chamomile scent, which is almost undetectable. The Chamomile & Rosehip Cream seems to be suitable for any skin type with sensitivity or rosacea, except dry or extremely oily. It effectively calms the skin down, but I would want slightly more hydration.
