My latest beauty purchase was this gorgeous vegan Your Face Just Got Lucky (previously called Good Karma) value set from Pacifica. I’ve tried quite a few Pacifica products and liked all of them, so I was tempted to try more. The set comes in a stunning pink and gold box and makes a lovely gift to anyone who loves natural beauty (like, yourself, for example).
The set includes 4 products:
- Sea Foam Complete Face Wash (travel size)
- Dreamy Youth Day and Night Face Cream (travel size)
- Alight Multi-mineral BB Cream (travel size)
- Color Quench Lip Tint in Guava Berry (full size)
Sea Foam Face Wash is a sulfate-free clear gel cleanser with a divine coconut-like scent. It creates a gentle foam and leaves my skin clean and fresh. I like that it removes my makeup well without drying out the skin. Suitable for all skin types. The travel size version is 20ml (full size is 147ml).
Ingredients: Purified Water, Cocomidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Source), Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate (Coconut Source), Sodium Cocoyl Sulfoacetate (Coconut Source), Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Decyl Glucoside (Corn Source), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin (Vegetable), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Glycol Stearate, Carica Papaya Extract, Lemon Bioflavanoids, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Citric Acid, Tocopherol Acetate, Panthenol, Napca, Allantoin, Nori Extract, Garcinia Mangostana Peel Extract (Mangosteen), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (White Tea), Sea Algae Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance (All Natural).
Dreamy Youth Day and Night Cream – I usually don’t trust face moisturizers that are suitable for all skin types AND can be used for day and night, so I didn’t expect much from this one. However, it turned out to be just lovely! It is an extremely light moisturizer, yet it seem to provide the right amount of hydration and softness. It sinks in minutes without leaving any residue whatsoever. I would recommend it for any skin type, though, if your skin is on the drier side, it might be a better match for you as a night cream. The travel size version is 20ml (full size is 147ml).

I’ve tried this Alight Multi-mineral BB Cream in the past, and it left a positive impression on me. It is a nice BB cream now as it was then – hydrating, light in coverage, illuminating, and suitable for all skin types. However, there are a couple of downsides: first, this BB cream claims to have a shade-matching technology, which basically means that it should adapt to most skin tones. Well, I can’t really comment on the darker skin tones, but if you have fair skin, especially in winter, it might look a tad too dark. Here is a swatch of this BB cream that I’ve made the last time that I’ve tried it. Back then it was summer, so it matched my skin perfectly, but now my skin is fairer, so, although my face looks nicely tanned and dewy with this BB cream, I need a much lighter shade to truly match my skin. Second, it contains dimethicone, which I try to avoid when choosing natural makeup products, but if this is not a deal-breaker for you, I would really recommend to give this BB cream a try. The travel size version is 10ml (full size is 30ml).
Ingredients: Water, Gylcerin, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Olivate, Dimethicone, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Esters, Iris Pallida (Sweet Iris) Leaf Cell Extract, Rosa Damascena (Damascus Rose) Leaf Cell Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Laminaria Hyperborea (Kelp Extract Blend), Hyaluronic Acid, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Iron Oxide Black, Mica, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, White Tea Extract, Aloe Barbgadensis Leaf Juice, Fragrance (All Natural).
Color Quench Lip Tint in Guava Berry is the only full-size product in the set. If you like sheer and hydrating lip tints, you’ll probably like Color Quench Lip Tint a lot. Guava Berry is a cool light pink, which looks almost translucent on the lips.
Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Glycine Soja (Soy) Wax, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Natural Flavor, Vitamin E, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides.
The Your Face Just Got Lucky (or Good Karma) set is available at selected Target stores or online at Pacifica or iHerb for $22/£17.
