Lavera Protective Care Cream For Sensitive Skin

Lavera Protective Care CreamI have always been a little suspicious about day creams for sensitive skin types. Is that even a skin type? – I’d think. Nonetheless, yes, if your skin tends to react to many ingredients, become red and itchy, then you can consider it sensitive. Avoiding trigger ingredients and using skincare products with soothing ingredients might help you control the undesired flare-ups. Lavera Protective Care Cream (50ml) is specially formulated for reactive skin and promises to soothe, moisturize, and protect. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, read further.

See the ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Alcohol*, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil*, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Tricaprylin, Squalane, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Stearic Acid, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil*, Passiflora Incarnata Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract*, Echinacea Purpurea Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract*, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract*, Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed) Sterols, Lecithin, Lysolecithin, Tocopherol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Fragrance (Parfum)**, Linalool**, Limonene**, Geraniol**, Citronellol**, Citral**, Benzyl Benzoate**. * ingredients from certified organic agriculture. ** natural essential oils. Natrue Certified. Vegan.

Cacao and shea butter work together to make the skin soft, while aloe vera leaf juice and passion flower oil calm irritation. These ingredients are also accompanied with seabuckthorn fruit and echinacea extracts, which are excellent for sensitive skin. This is a thick cream, which instantly melts on the skin. It has an intense aroma, reminding of candies. The Protective Cream is supposed to reduce skin tensions and rehydrate the skin and does its duty wonderfully. Though, it might feel a bit greasy on the face until the skin completely absorbs it.

Sounds like something my skin might like! It’s become more sensitive over the years I’ve noticed and no amount of investigative work has me any closer to understanding what I may be sensitive to! In the meantime I rely on products that don’t exacerbate my condition and this is I will have to look out for. The fact that it smells of candies is a definitely plus!

I know how hard it might be to find out what causes the skin to go crazy 🙂 Mine sometimes flares up and turns red without me doing anything it doesn’t like (at least I think so! 🙂 ).

Fun! I think we all can suffer from sensitive skin from time to time. Sometimes my skin cooperates, and sometimes I look red and patchy- all depends on that time of the month I guess. It’s so strange! This seems like it would be a nice product to have on hand for those days that you’re feeling extra sensitive. :0) Great find! – Kathryne

Sounds like a lovely cream but oh why does it contain alcohol :/ xx

Does your skin react badly to products with alcohol? I’m trying to avoid toners containing it, because I feel like they tend to irritate my skin, but haven’t noticed anything like that when using creams (if the alcohol is organic, of course).
