Giovanni Ultra-Repair shampoo is designed for hair that needs a little extra love and care. Meaning it’s for damaged, over processed and overall frizzy and dry hair. I heat style my hair on a regular basis and, although, my hair isn’t damaged, the ends tend to get dry and require some additional moisture.
Though the only way to completely repair damaged hair is to visit your hairdresser and get rid of the damaged ends, you can make your hair smoother, frizz-free and more manageable by using the right hair care products. This Ultra-Repair shampoo is exactly what it is – a highly moisturizing product. Among the ingredients are organic blackberry fruit extract, organic coconut oil, organic argan oil, panthenol, and keratin extract. All these ingredients contribute to repairing, protecting and nourishing the hair.
Like many highly moisturizing shampoos, the Ultra-Repair shampoo is pretty thick, almost gooey. Despite that, it lathers well and isn’t hard to wash off. All Giovanni hair care products have intense scents, and this one is no different. I’ve used up a half of the 250ml bottle already, and I can safely say that my hair was noticeably smoother in texture and shiny (I’m using Sante Brilliant Care conditioner with this shampoo). The only problem I have with all moisturizing shampoos is that I need to wash my hair more frequently.
