First Impressions: The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser

The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter CleanserWe all have those mornings when we wake up, and our skin looks dull and tired. This is one of the most common skin concerns, especially with dry / maturing skin types or any skin type when the seasons change. I’ve tried a lot of different kinds of cleansers: liquid cleansers, foam cleansers, cream cleansers. All of them are great in their own way, but balm cleansers are the most effective when dealing with skin lacking moisture and radiance.

The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser (75 ml)* is a soothing and conditioning balm cleanser, suitable for all skin types. However, because of its moisturizing benefits, dry, dehydrated, and combination skin types would benefit the most from this cleanser. It’s loaded with moisturizing ingredients such as shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil and with calming and healing ingredients such as marigold extract, lavender, and chamomile essential oils.

See the ingredients:

Sunflower Oil (Helianthus Annus), Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis)*, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)*, Beeswax (Cera Alba),Sesame Seed Oil (Sesamum Indicum), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao), Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera)*, Marigold (Calendula Officinalis) Extract*, Carrot (Daucus Carrota) , Virgin Olive Oil (Olea Europea)*, St Johns Wort (Hypericum Perforatum)*, Vitamin E (Tocopherol) , Rosemary (Rosamarium Officinale), Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis), Lavender (Lavandula Officinalis), Essential Oils, Linalool, Limonene. *Certified organic. Vegetarian.

I easily swoon over beautiful packaging because it’s nicer to use a good product when it looks pretty. The packaging of this Carrot Butter Cleanser is absolutely stunning and luxurious. The Cleanser also has a calming and delightful herbal scent that lifts the spirit and puts my mind into a positive and focused state. It’s especially helpful after a long day because inhaling this scent will make you sooo much happier and calmer.

The Organic Pharmacy Organic Carrot Butter CleanserSince this is a balm cleanser, it has solid consistency, which quickly melts into an oil consistency from the warmth of the skin. It’s important to know that all The Organic Pharmacy cleansers, including this Carrot Butter Cleanser, have to be used on dry skin. Apply a tiny pea size of the cleanser on your dry face, then, starting from your forehead, massage it in circular motions to lift your makeup and other impurities. The last part is the most important – to remove the cleanser and clean your face, use a wet, warm cloth (a muslin cloth or any type of reusable facial cloth, if your skin is too sensitive). I mentioned this because it’s almost impossible to wash off a balm cleanser with just water, it would not remove your makeup and would only make your face a greasy mess. The cloth also works as a gentle exfoliator and together with the cleanser removes dirt and leaves your skin soft and radiant. I’ve also tried using a konjac sponge for double exfoliation, and it worked magic.

The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Balm CleanserMy overall experience with this Carrot Butter Cleanser is very positive. It revives my skin and makes it look dewy and healthy. No wonder this is one of the best-selling items from the whole The Organic Pharmacy range.

Available at Naturisimo with free worldwide delivery for $50/£39.95 for 75ml.

I LOVE this balm cleanser. I actually used it as a makeup remover each night on dry skin, followed by a gentle exfoliating cleanser. If it was easier to purchase in Canada I would buy another jar without question! Mmmm mmmm!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Lauren! I actually was very surprised by how well it removed makeup! I didn’t expect it to remove my mascara at all, but it did a pretty good job.

This looks like a great product though it is quite pricy. I would be very curious to try it though!

Sounds really nice. do you know the price? x

£39.95 (approx €50), not cheap at all, but a good skincare investment, in my opinion. x
