Best and Worst Organic Beauty Products of 2017

Best Most Disappointing Organic Beauty Products 2017Another year has ended, so I thought that another recap of best and worst organic beauty products that I’ve tried this past year was in order. Like last time, this time it also was an easy task to choose those beauty items that worked wonders and some that failed to perform.

Favorites of 2017

Most Favorite Organic Beauty Products 2017I’ve tried many different skincare and makeup products in 2017, some of them did not even make it to the blog. The majority were excellent, but this bunch that I’m about to mention left me such a lasting impression that I would recommend any of them in a heartbeat:

Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Budhi Sacha Inchi Eye Nectar – this is probably the only eye care product that I stuck to for such a long period. And you know what the good news is? There’s still nearly half of the bottle left. I love this Eye Nectar so much because it gives my under-eye area that hydrated, radiant, and seriously refreshed feeling. Also, nothing can beat that delightful coffee scent.

RMS Beauty Un Cover-Up Concealer Foundation – a multi-tasking product that can be used as a concealer or a foundation. It took me some time to understand how to apply it best, but after I learned the ropes, it became an irreplaceable product for my makeup routine.

Schmidt’s Charcoal + Magnesium Deodorant – although I’ve tried many Schmidt’s deodorants, this was my recent find that I fell in love so quick, I did not even notice. It is everything a natural deodorant should be: natural ingredient list, has a mild scent, and is highly effective.

Oil + Water Daily Cleansing Emulsifying Balm – despite having dry/dehydrated skin, I’ve always been kind of iffy about cleansing balms. They seemed too greasy, too heavy, too something-is-just-not-working… Well, I’m confident to say this is the only cleansing balm that is none of those things. It removes makeup amazingly well and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft without any greasy residue.

Madara SOS Instant Moisture Radiance Mask – if your skin is severely dehydrated or you just want to keep it moisturized and soft so it wouldn’t become dehydrated, this mask is one of the best choices out there. It has a creamy consistency, mild sweet herbal scent, and magical hydrating abilities. It saved my skin during last winter, and this season I’m using it again.

Most disappointing products of 2017

Most Disappointing Organic Beauty Products 2017It’s not easy to call a product “the most disappointing” because when trying out something new, you always expect to like it. Sadly, this is not always the case. There are still going to be a few products that did not meet all those expectations we have. So I’m sharing my most unfortunate experiences from 2017:

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Instant Eye Lift Algae Mask – when using a facial treatment, I expect at least some results. I mean, these results can be different than declared on the labels. But when I didn’t get any results with this Eye Lift Algae Mask, it left me confused. Not recommended.

Yes To Grapefruit The Pore Perfection Paper Masks – it was my first time trying Yes To Grapefruit Paper Masks, and they irritated my skin so much that now I’m scared to try other masks from other Yes To ranges. I don’t know if that was some ingredient that made my skin burn within seconds after I put the mask on, but boy it did.

RMS Beauty Defining Mascara – my heart breaks that I have to include RMS Beauty in this list. There are just so many products from this brand that I love! But to be honest, I would not recommend this mascara to anyone. Despite its promises to define the lashes, it makes one big lump by sticking them together. The bristles of this mascara also stain my eyelids like no other mascara I’ve ever tried.

Lily Lolo Hydrate Day Cream – Lily Lolo is a well-known natural beauty brand because of its high-quality natural makeup products. The brand has recently launched its Hydrate skincare line, containing two products: a day cream and a night cream. The night cream is actually a sound product, but this day cream just does not work for my skin.

So here you go, the best and the most disappointing. Have you tried any of these products? What are your best and worst organic beauty products from 2017?

Wabi Sabi has been on my list to try so that eye product sounds like a great one to start with.
