I often rave about beauty items that have impressively long ingredient lists with various natural extracts and oils. However, what I’ve noticed is that many of my top favorite beauty items that I turn to when having problems with my skin actually contain only one ingredient: rosehip oil, coconut oil, lavender hydrosol, and many others. The beauty of single-ingredient skincare products is that not only they’re so pure, but also you can mix and match most of them together for the maximum effect.
That’s pretty much what you can find at Amelia Moss: pure, simple, yet effective natural oils, clay, and floral waters. All sustainably-sourced, all fair-trade, all made in small batches. Couldn’t ask for more!
ORGANIC ROSE WATER* 120ml / £12 – approx $16
I’ve mentioned a few times on the blog before about the importance of using a toner. However, many of them contain alcohol and I know that many of you try to avoid that in your skincare, even if it’s organic. Any flower water can be used as a replacement for a toner, but pure and organic rose water is especially beneficial for skin. Rose water is an astringent, which means it tightens and strengthens the skin, but it also offers anti-inflammatory, balancing, and refreshing properties. The scent of this Amelia Moss rose water is like a bouquet of real roses, absolutely amazing.
ORGANIC MARULA OIL* 30ml / £35 – approx $46
Despite the fact that marula oil contains the same amount of essential fatty acids and twice as much antioxidants than argan oil, it somehow gets less attention. Because of its rejuvenating, highly nourishing, and protecting properties, this beauty oil should make it to every woman’s skincare routine. While the scent to me is kind of meh, I absolutely love what it does to my skin. The oil is lightweight and non-greasy, so it sinks in pretty fast, leaving skin soft, nourished, and satin. Many oils are considered non-greasy, but marula beats them all on this. So even though marula oil is suitable for all skin types, if you have combination or oily skin and wanted to try oils, start with this one, you will love it.
RHASSOUL CLAY* 113g / £9.50 – approx $13
Packed with minerals that are beneficial for skin, this clay is suitable for all skin types, even the sensitive ones. There are so many ways to use rhassoul clay, but my favorite is combining it with Amelia Moss rose water and applying as a face mask for deep pore cleansing and evening out my skin tone.
